I'm inside Insider

Today Insider was kind enough to publish another article (a listicle, in fact) that I wrote based on my dead parents website: “My parents are dead. Here are the 5 most important things I’ve learned as executor.”

I know this is silly, but I’ve wanted to write a listicle for years. It strikes me as the peak form of millennial journalism—we’ve perfected it as an art. I came of age in the heyday of Buzzfeed, after all. I’m glad I finally found the right subject for one, as depressing as it is.

The nice thing about listicles is their clear, simple structure. A structure one might easily carry over to a presentation, don’t you think? If you’re in the Louisville area, stay tuned…
