Between 2020 and 2023, both my parents died. Thrust into the legal and financial aftermath of their deaths, I felt completely overwhelmed. I had no idea what I was doing—and nobody else seemed to, either. In a fit of gallows humor, I tweeted this:
Turns out, lots of people were interested. I’d been taking notes anyway out of habit, so I turned them into a website where people can find advice for how to navigate everything from choosing burial vs. cremation to submitting life insurance claims. I continuously update the site as I gain experiences and counter obstacles.
Gen X and Millennials especially are going to need these tips sooner than we’d like. I can only hope my site makes life a little easier for those who stumble upon it.
