My parents are dead...

…so I made a website about it: https://www.deadparentswhatnow.com

When my dad died in March, I became executor and successor trustee for his estate. I had lots of questions—the types of questions I might have asked my parents, except the whole point is that I no longer have parents. But when I asked other adults in my life, they didn’t have many answers, either. My dad’s lawyer, with all due respect, was obscure.

The internet seemed to have some of the answers, but scattered all over the place. I couldn’t find one hub for this specific situation—a situation almost everyone has to go through at one point or another!

So I made one. And I guess that was a good idea; since I launched My Parents Are Dead: What Now? last Tuesday, the site has received 10,000 unique visitors. Considering I’m just a regular person and not an expert, that seems…bananas. But I’m glad it’s helpful.

I’m still in the midst of this whole legal and financial fiasco, so I’ll be updating the site as I go. Suggestions? Click that contact button. While I do hope you visit the site, I hope you don’t need it for a while. But if you do, it’s there for you.
